Expanding the Live Team?
Clarification from Regina:

I was bored, and decided to look up what jobs Anet is hiring for (in the small chance I could possibly find something that I may have a chance in), and I found something interesting. Three positions for Guild Wars 1. Yes, the live team, which are:
Design - Game Designer (Hmmm, Linsey working herself too much that Robert isn't enough to help?)
Artist - Senior - Level Technical Artist (Woot! New areas once this position is filled!)
Artist - Special Effects Artist (Contract) (Curious what this would be for).
So it seems that the Live Team is finally getting a good expansion. We may see more and more better content updates after the War in Kryta.

Nice find. How do we know if its "expansion" though? I mean, I hope that's what it is... but what if the existing (experienced) staff are getting drafted into GW2 work... and are being replaced by (inexperienced) new recruits?

See now I don't feel as though I'm the only one who checks that out...

That could only be the case with the Designer. There is no level artist or special effects guy in the Live Team.
And Robert isn't likely to be replaced, and knowing Linsey, I don't think she will be either.
So far, the Live Team is 3 people: Linsey, Joe, and Robert. The rest are QA which also work for GW2. Once these positions are filled, it will be 6 - unless Linsey is getting replaced, then 5.
All the non-designer or programmer work we've seen (the new NPC textures since M.O.X. and the Hall of Judgement area) were done by GW2 staff working overtime.
All I know is that I really hope they give GW1 a lot more attention. I know people, and have heard of more people, who won't get GW2 - and even among those who will, many like myself will be returning to GW1 for new content.
I have been saying that the Live Team should be expanded, though probably not too vocally as I should have, and I'm glad they finally are. GW1 is still a cash cow for Anet. And will be even after GW2's release, I'm sure.

Those are on the European NCSoft site, and it's possible they haven't updated it lately. Here is the current job openings from the ArenaNet site. http://www.arena.net/jobs/
No mention of anything for GW1.

Darcy, you do realize you completely looked over the very titles of the jobs I listed, right? Although I used this instead, it is the same list and all the links of the jobs lead to the same place as the links on the site I just listed.

Only the ad for the Game Designer mentions it being for GW1, the other two aren't. Don't get your hopes up!

One clarification. These positions are not for the Live Team. They are for Guild Wars 2.

^ The live team already has about as many people as they're ever going to. Which is unfortunate, but there's really nothing that can be done about that.

As I said on GW2Guru:
Ah, so I misread? Damn it. But why does the Designer one, at least, say for Guild Wars and not for Guild Wars 2?
I should probably get sleep. And not post things when I've only had 3-5 hours of sleep for 10 days in a row. ^^
Apologies people.
